Apples in the Big Apple

I was walking around the city today and came across this apple.  I wish there was someone standing near it so you can see the scale.

I'm not sure why I like apples so much.  Maybe because they are healthy, delicious and there are so many different varieties?  I also like their convenient shape and size.  I like that this one  has birds inside the kids on the bottom of the apple.  It's weird and cool.
